Katie's Haircut

Katie got her first haircut yesterday. It was cute. I just trimmed up the sides but it was very needed. I took off almost two inches. Her back has been rubbed so short and her sides were so long it looked hilarious. So now she has a cute little bob. She's a cute little girl.

An update with us? not much actually. Matt's semester is going well. He seems to be enjoying it, and we all love that it's a lighter load. We have been sick all month so we haven't really gotten out of the house at all. But we're finally feeling better and I am excited to finally be able to get out. Nope

Tyler decided this week that "nope" is the answer to everything. It was kind of funny at first, now it drives me crazy. You ask him if he's hungry. "Nope" Can you pick up that toy? "Nope" Stop hitting Katie. "Nope" Want a drink? "Nope" Let's go upstairs. "Nope" It doesn't matter what is said nope is the answer. The first day or so was really hard. I'm learning that I just can't ask yes or no questions, which is harder then you think with a 2 year old. It's kinda funny tho!

I don't have pictures to post, but thought I would do a little update. Matt started school this week. The first day of school is so different then other first days when it is your last semester. It's going to be busy classes, but he'll be home in the evenings and on the weekend. I decided to paint my house this week also. I'll post pictures later. I started painting Tuesday and of course Katie decided to stop napping as much. Then Wednesday night Tyler got sick. He was sick all day Thursday and Friday. I finally took him to the doctor Friday and he has a really bad cold. He's being treated for Broncitis. The doctor said it's not quite there but he's going to treat him for that anyway, since with little kids it can get serious so fast. And of course once you start painting a wall you can't stop. Needless to say I am so glad it is the end of a busy, exhausting week.

December

I can not believe how long it has been since I have checked anyone's blog, let alone post on mine. So, we have been busy. School and finals kept us really busy. Then we have been trying to make the most of Matt being home. His company gave everyone the week of Christmas off so we got to have him home all day for a full week. Tomorrow he goes back to work, which is sad, but at least not school yet. We had such a wonderful Christmas! We got to be with my family and enjoy our traditions, be with Matt's family enjoying their traditions, and we got to create our own. We are so lucky to have so much family near by. Tyler was so excited! The entire month I have been teaching him about Christmas. I have told him that we get presents but Christmas is Jesus' birthday. He also knows Santa comes. So basically every day this month if someone knocks on the door he goes running saying Jesus or Santa is here. It's been so cute! Katie was into gifts also, well she was into the paper anyway! I love my life! I couldn't ask for two more adorable children then the ones I have. Matt and I are very blessed and very happy. I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas and the past year. I am excited to see what the new year will bring! Merry Christmas to all and Happy New Year!

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had the best weekend. With Matt so busy all the time it was so nice to have a weekend together. This year we did something a little different. My sis Julie and her family go to Mimi's Cafe every year so this year we joined them. It was so nice! It was nice to have a quiet, relaxing morning at home playing and then be served Thanksgiving dinner. We played board games with Matt's family and that evening had pie with mine. Friday I of course went shopping, not early in the morning though. We had a great time. I also got my tree done. This year it is new decorations. I like it, it's different and funky. Totally my style. I'm posting pictures, but you can't really see details. I love the holidays! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and enjoy the month!

Wild Blue Yonder

So this week my little brother Tyson took Tyler and I flying around the valley. He is such a great pilot. Tyler loved it. He was so excited that he didn't stop talking the entire time. He either had his face plastered to the window or he was pointing and talking about everything in the plane. He has been playing with his toy planes for two days straight now. He hasn't stopped talking about it either. It was a lot of fun! The picture of Tyler and Katie was taken after church today. I love them so much! Happy Thanksgiving this week. Happy Halloween

We had a lot of fun yesterday. Matt's work did trick-or-treating around the cubicles, they made a little haunted house and everything. After we went to my parents, then to Matt's parents. We took Tyler to a few houses, he loved it! Ran to each door and knocked until they opened it. It was cute! Tyler was Spiderman and Katie was a princess. I'll tell you what, I have some cute kids!

The Castle

I made a castle for Tyler's Christmas present this year and I am actually really proud of it. It turned out better then I thought it would. So, here are some pictures of it. It hangs over the kitchen table. I even drew the little dragons on it. He's going to love it!

Gardner Village

My sister Julie came into town today. We took the kids up to Gardner Village with my mom. They have decorated the place with pumpkins and witches all over. It's really cute! They also have ducks and pony rides. So, here are some pictures of our little outing!
