Kid's Say the Cutest Things
This evening we sat down as a family and I explained to Tyler and Katie what Christmas really was about. Long story short I told them that it is when we celebrate Jesus' birthday. We talked about doing nice things for Jesus by doing nice things for others. After all of it was said and done, my cute little Tyler said "Then is snow Jesus' birthday cake?" Kids are just so precious and adorable! I love my little family!

My day!
Today has just been one of those days. I'm not one to just type without any pictures attached, but today I just need to!
I was upstairs reading this morning when I heard Tyler say to Katie "Lets clean the house. It will make mom so happy and then she'll give us some candy." I thought to myself "Could this be true? Are my kids really going to clean? You bet I'll give them candy." So, I stayed upstairs for a while. I didn't want to interrupt a miracle in progress! :) I heard Katie running up and down the stairs while Tyler said "This one goes in my room, this one goes in your room, make sure you put it in my room." My little micro-manager! It was cute tho. And Katie didn't seem to mind running up and down the stairs 20 times while Tyler sat at the bottom telling what to put away! Finally I decided to go see what they had been doing. All the toys on my stairs were put away!!! That's awesome!!! As I turned the corner I saw why Katie hadn't minded the stairs. She had drawn all over the stairway and entryway with a blue marker!!! I don't know where it came from, and I don't know where it went. I also don't know what kind of marker it was.
I have now tried hairspray on it, it removed my paint. I tried magic erasers, it removed my paint. Rubbing Alcohol removed my paint. Clorox wipes didn't do anything to the marker. I am so frustrated with it and I really don't want to have to repaint!
I decided to take a break from the marker war and clean my bathrooms. I really got down and deep cleaned them too. I love it when my house is clean! I spent an hour and a half on two and a half baths. Right when I finished the very last thing my hand bumped my sentsy candle and sent hot wax all over my hand, the counter, the two sinks, and the mirror.
So, needless to say. It has just been one of those days! Who knows, maybe the marker will actually get me to continue my paint color up the stairway like my original plan was. We'll see!

I've got a photo blog. That's right, I have found a love for photography. It's still under constructions some what, but you should all go check it out. It's lifesmomentsbyjill.blogspot.com. I recently did a photo shoot that turned out awesome! I love it!!! Everyone should go look at them. I could have posted tons and tons, but limited myself to about 10 or 20 :)
Halloween
Halloween was a lot of fun this year. My kids had a blast. As a parent I am started to hate that you have to have candy on halloween. How my parents let us come in the door with a pillow case of candy growing up I will never know.
We did a trunk or treat with the ward. Since it was raining it got moved into the church. Ours is themed Heaven and Heck! I'm the angel handing out the fruit and Matt is the devil handing out the candy. We didn't win but I thought it was still kinda creative! We had a HUGE turn out for it and lot of fun themes people did. I sure do love my ward, there are so many great people in it. I hope the rest of you had a great Halloween. Now rest up before the big holidays come!

Pictures For Fun
Field Trip
First Day Of School
Tyler loves his preschool this year. I was worried since last year was so hard. He's been doing great tho. I love to have the free time when he's at school and Katie is sleeping, but my favorite part of the day is when he gets home, pulls out all his papers, and tells me in detail about everything he did. I LOVE IT! Here are some pictures of Tyler on the first day of school and of us waiting for school to start. We were so excited we got there early the first day. My kids sure are cute tho. I can't believe how big they are getting.

Playing Catch Up
Alright, I'm finally sitting down and attempting to catch up of my blog. It's been a while. This summer has been a good one for us. I've been loving the warm days and being outside with my kids. I love the fall and the colorful leaves but I am not excited for winter at all. I hate having to stay inside with my kids or bundling up to go outside. Plus flu season. Blah.
Here are just a few random pictures of my kiddos. I sure do love them!

Precious Moments
Tyler: When we get home we should say a prayer and ask Jesus to turn off the wind.
Mom: That's a good idea, Tyler, we could ask him for that.
Tyler: What happens when we die?
Mom: If we're really good while we are alive and do what Jesus wants us to do then we get to go live in Heaven.
Tyler: (Pondering that answer for a second) What are we going to wear in Heaven?
Mom: Heaven clothes. Probably a white shirt and white pants.
Tyler: Where do we get white pants? In Heaven? Jesus doesn't wear pants. He wears a really big shirt that goes to his toes. We probably will wear a big shirt too.
Mom: Maybe so bud, we'll have to wait and see.
It's moments like these that I love the most. I love to watch my little boy learn something new, watch him try to comprehend it and come up with his one solutions. I love to here that he does listen when we talk to him. At four years old my little boy can tell anyone who Jesus is. I need to remember this and teach him even more. Just another reminder to myself that it is never too early to start. I love my kids!

Lifes curve balls
This month has been one of a kind. My grandma passed away and the funeral was a few weeks ago. It was a nice ceremony, a sad time, and an experience that made me understand the atonement even more.
Last week my little brother, Tyson, went into the hospital. It was scary but they said he would be out in 2 days or so. Today is day 10 and they don't have a day of him coming out yet. He has pancreatitis. Then he caught a cold, that could turn to pneumonia, and all of this as of yesterday is starting to effect his liver. His numbers started dropping and improving, but the last 2 days they have gone up again. Poor kid. He has been through so much in life. Luekemia, as a kid, many many broken bones, now this. Just another experience to bring my family even closer to each other and to the Lord. I am so glad that when we experience all the things that this world brings, that we can over come them and know that there is more for us in the eternities. These lessons we all get only make us stronger. I write about my little brother because he is my hero. And hopefully, for the people who read this, you can appreciate your lives that much more know that there are people out there that go through much worse. Please keep Tyson in your prayers!
