Wow!

I think the title of my blog is perfect for us.  Today was most definitely a special moment in life.  A moment I could have lived without, but none the less a moment.  I let the kids play a lego game on Xbox today.  They don't get that often so I knew it would buy me some time to myself.  I went up to my room and started doing some things up there.  They kids were great!  They were laughing and having a ball.  About half an hour went by and I decided to check on them.  These pictures say it all!  They emptied an entire bucket of flour all over my downstairs.  It was on the ceiling, the cupboards, the top of the fridge, the computer, the couches, the TV.  Then when I went into the closet to get the vacuum I discovered they had covered that area too.  Oh my goodness!  I just stood there.  I was in such shock I couldn't even walk.  The kids were busting up and having a ball.  I instantly put them in a bath and then in their rooms.  I told them to stay up there and play until its all cleaned up.  I'm done now, but I loving this moment alone so I keep telling them it's not ready for them to come down.  And I think they are a little to scared of me right now to question that.

The got the camera too!

Our Family Staycation!

Matt has been soooo busy at work. A week ago he put in about 70 hours. Last week he had his 40 hours by Wednesday. So, since the projects deadline was done on Wed. He took Thursday and Friday off. I booked us a room in Salt Lake for the two nights and the four of us spent the weekend up there. It was WONDERFUL! I knew we would have fun, but I didn't think we would love and appreciate it as much as we did. The kids couldn't get enough of our hotel. Our first night there we went out to eat. Tyler watched all of us eat and saved his food so he could eat in the hotel room. It was adorable. It was a much need and perfect week for us! I love my family! And I love that we LOVE to spend time with each other!!! (If anyone wants ideas for free activities in Salt Lake just ask.  All the activities we did for three days was free!)

We took a tour of the Capitol Building and the Church Office Building.

The kids had a blast at Gateway Mall watching the fountains!

The Marriott was great to the kids. They gave them all this Nickelodeon stuff to play with, including these sun glasses!

And of course we can't forget the train! We road the train EVERYWHERE just because we could. For those of you that don't know it's free downtown. The kids LOVED it to say the least.

Perfect indoor pool for us!

Work In Progress

I love to decorate!  The only catch is I do it very slowly.  I guess if I had all the money in the world I would have my house done perfectly in one day.  None the less, here are pictures of my bedroom.  I am finally loving it and feeling pretty good about it.  Still some things I want to improve but I'm proud of it.  All the furniture I refinished over the summer to a shiny black with silver hardware.   For Oliver's in Colorado it use to be in one of Grandma's rooms, it was brown with brass hardware.  I love my room.  Now if I could just decide on a wall color and find the right throw pillows in red to add to the bed!  Like a said, a work in progress!

The Favorite Boy Is 5!!!

Tyler turned 5 on March 7th.  I couldn't post pictures sooner because I lost my cord to the camera.  So here are pictures of my little boy.  He is so adorable!!!

Tyler and his Batman Cake. He LOVES batman and super heros.

We had a really fun and crazy party with all the Super Hero Boys!

Katie, Bryce, Randy, Tyler, Mason, Ethan, Eli, Blake, and Cannon

This is his closest friends (Eli, who is equally special, missing from the picture) Mason, Tyler, Ethan, and Blake.  They are so into the Batman cartoon that no one notices they are piled on each other!

A Tribute to My Sisters

(I had a cute picture to post of the three of us but I can't get my external hard drive to work.  So just picture three incredibly gorgeous girls!)

I love my sisters and I love blogging.  So what better thing to do then blog about my two sisters.  They are so wonderful!

My little sister Jana started her first blog today.  I'm so proud! ;)  She's so cute!  She is an amazing girl.  Let me brag about her for a minute!  She is not only gorgeous and adorable, she's hard working, talented, and brilliant!  She's going to BYU.  She's done awesome in all the classes she's taken.  She majoring in...idk I can never remember!  I know it works with speech impediments and what not.  But for some reason I can't remember the exact title.  lol  She blows my mind.  She sets goals and will ALWAYS accomplish them.  She's funny to be around and the best little sister ever.  One guy will be very, very lucky some day to have her.

Then there is Julie.  Where do I start?  If one's husband is their other half then Matt is one side and Julie is my other.  My entire life I have followed Julie.  I have obsessed over her and dreamed to be her since I was little.  Despite living apart we talk on almost a daily basis.  Words can not explain the bond between Julie and I.  She too consistently impresses me.  In collage, in motherhood, in life.

Both my sisters are amazing women and great examples to me.  I would do anything for them, and I know they would do anything for me!  We are best friends and that's what sisterhood is all about!  Two amazing gifts from God that I have in my life and that I am eternally grateful for!  I love you girls!!!

Little Katie Dancing

Yesterday Matt went to a youth dance and took the kids with him. I didn't get to go because I had book club. But when he showed me this video of Katie I was busting up. I had to watch it like 10 times. And just so you all know, this is my first video on my blog. Another thing I sometimes get annoyed about. I hate waiting for peoples videos to upload so I just don't. It's ok if you don't watch this one, but I think it's totally worth waiting for the upload! ;)

Tyler In 60 Years!

This picture makes me laugh. Doesn't he look like some retired man living in Florida spending the rest of his life on the beach? Look closely, he even has a tat on his arm!  What a precious boy!  He's so dang cute!

Did you know?

Sometimes I get annoyed when I open someones blog and music starts playing.  But I still put songs on my blog.  The reason is simple, they truly move me.  It doesn't matter what mood I'm in.  IZ just makes you feel like you really are sitting in a hammock on a private beach with no worries!  So this is why I have two songs on my blog.  I will only add others if they can touch me the same, peaceful way.

It's About Time!

It's about time I post something on my blog. It's been so long. I don't even know where to begin. Christmas was great for us! As it always is. The holidays flew and now seems like forever ago. All I really remember is that I had a bunch of church events I was in charge of planning and it was really stressful and busy! But fun none the less!

January was crazy! That month flew by also! Matt's work has gotten really busy for him. He oversees some major projects now that keep him tied up. It's great for his career and looks awesome on his resume. I just wish a pay raise came with it! :) It's a good company and we're happy!

Tyler is getting huge! He's such a cute kid. He LOVES school and is trying to read everything now days. He's constantly asking us how things are spelled and he loves to pick out all the letters on a sign as we drive by. He's a smart little guy!

Katie is adorable! She's so funny! She's constantly saying something that makes us all laugh. I am finding the difference between boys and girls hilarious! Tyler is a quiet little guy. Katie? Not so much! She jabbers from the second she wakes up and she sings herself to sleep every night. It's cute! Some days Matt and I just sit back and laugh at how much she has to talk in a day!

Tyler and Katie are the cutest little friends. They play so well together and love each other so much! I love being a mom to these two special kids! My sis-in-law took some family pictures in January. I love how they turned out! Thanks Lisa!!!
