Precious Moments

Tyler: When we get home we should say a prayer and ask Jesus to turn off the wind.
Mom: That's a good idea, Tyler, we could ask him for that.
Tyler: What happens when we die?
Mom: If we're really good while we are alive and do what Jesus wants us to do then we get to go live in Heaven.
Tyler: (Pondering that answer for a second) What are we going to wear in Heaven?
Mom: Heaven clothes. Probably a white shirt and white pants.
Tyler: Where do we get white pants? In Heaven? Jesus doesn't wear pants. He wears a really big shirt that goes to his toes. We probably will wear a big shirt too.
Mom: Maybe so bud, we'll have to wait and see.

It's moments like these that I love the most. I love to watch my little boy learn something new, watch him try to comprehend it and come up with his one solutions. I love to here that he does listen when we talk to him. At four years old my little boy can tell anyone who Jesus is. I need to remember this and teach him even more. Just another reminder to myself that it is never too early to start. I love my kids!

Lifes curve balls

This month has been one of a kind. My grandma passed away and the funeral was a few weeks ago. It was a nice ceremony, a sad time, and an experience that made me understand the atonement even more.

Last week my little brother, Tyson, went into the hospital. It was scary but they said he would be out in 2 days or so. Today is day 10 and they don't have a day of him coming out yet. He has pancreatitis. Then he caught a cold, that could turn to pneumonia, and all of this as of yesterday is starting to effect his liver. His numbers started dropping and improving, but the last 2 days they have gone up again. Poor kid. He has been through so much in life. Luekemia, as a kid, many many broken bones, now this. Just another experience to bring my family even closer to each other and to the Lord. I am so glad that when we experience all the things that this world brings, that we can over come them and know that there is more for us in the eternities. These lessons we all get only make us stronger. I write about my little brother because he is my hero. And hopefully, for the people who read this, you can appreciate your lives that much more know that there are people out there that go through much worse. Please keep Tyson in your prayers!

Animal Farm at Thanksgiving Point

I took the kids to the farm the other day. They were so cute!
Tyler, Katie, and their cousin Annie. Cute cute kids!

I did Katie's hair the same as mine and she was the cutest thing in the entire world. Look at that precious baby girl of mine!

Mexico Riviera

I am finally getting around to blogging our trip. Matt and I got to go on a cruise with my family. I loved it! It was relaxing, beautiful, and fun! Here are a boat load of pictures (no pun intended)!
We started in LA. Matt had never been to Hollywood so we took a quick excursion to see the stars. It was a fun day!

First stop was Cabo San Lucas. It was dry and what not. But the water was beautiful!

That would be my little brother Tyson on his balcony a few rooms down from us, with Mazatlan in the background.
Gateway to the Pacific!

Third stop was Porte Villarta. The family did this huge zip line thru a beautiful canyon. I think it ended up being about 14 different zip lines. The best activity that I have every done. It was a freakin blast!

Yes, that's an adorable monkey on my shoulder and then an enormous snake on my head. Holy crap!

The trip was awesome!!!!!!!!

I am me and I am a Mom

I have so much to blog about (which isn't normal it seems). I decided to title this post "I am me and I am a Mom" because that is a great title and I forget that sometimes. Some wonderful girls in my area put together a retreat. There were about 16 of us that went up to Park City Friday and came back Saturday evening. We talked about working out with kids, activities to do and teaching kids, being more green, disciplining ideas, scripture study, organizing, and more. It was amazing and exactly what I needed. It was so uplifting, informative, and just flat out fun!

I am blogging about it because I have to share what I learned. It was like an epiphany. Mom's are always so hard on themselves. I feel like I am trying to be perfect at everything all the time that it makes it so I'm not perfect at anything. This weekend I realized that instead of finding one thing I can be the best at I just need to work on being balanced. I guess work on perfect balance and harmony. To some of you this might seem like a no duh, but for me it was like a light just turned on. I love so many different things. I like to cook, I like photography, I love painting, I like gardening, I like reading, I like socializing, I like blogging, I like hiking. I like a ton of things but I do not consider myself great at any one thing. I realized today that that is just fine. I don't have to be the person people come to for advice because I am a professional.

I don't answer to anyone during my day really. I am me and I am a mom. I decide my schedule, I decide how my day will go. I decide when my kids and I will eat, or read, or play, or sleep. I am control of my life. If something gets to me it's because I decided to let it. I decide how my day will go, how my life will go. And I decide to make it fantastic!

Thanks girls for the most uplifting weekend I have had in a while! Love you all!

Newest Project

I got this little dresser on KSL and decided to fix it up. I think it turned out pretty cute. I'm selling it now if anyone wants it. It was just a fun little project for me to play with. I think the gas tank look is creative and would be adorable in a little boys room or a play room. It would be in Tyler's if he had any room for it.

These are the CUTE church outfits my kids got for Easter. Oh my goodness, they are adorable! I'm going to have to get some professional pictures in these outfits for sure! I love my little bugs!

Pirate Island

We got to go to Pirate Island for the first time last week. It was a blast! The kids loved it and were adorable and Matt and I had fun playing a few games ourselves! Good times!

A Day Out With Mom

I took the kids up to South Town Mall in Sandy. They loved it! I had no idea that the mall had a train you could ride on and a carousel. We had a blast playing and doing lunch the three of us! Tyler LOVES trains and turns out Katie LOVES carousels! They were both in Heaven (and I got to do a little shopping!!!)
